The much-awaited series of the Amazon Prime Video Mirzapur 3 will make its OTT debut sometime later this year.
In an interview with Humans of Bombay, actor Divyendu who plays the fan-favourite character of Munna Tripathi in Prime Video’s Mirzapur revealed that he won’t be part of Mirzapur 3.
While speaking to Humans of Bombay, Divyenndu said, “On Humans of Bombay, I shall declare, I am not a part of ‘Mirzapur Season 3’.” The news may come as a mild shock to ‘Mirzapur’ fans, given that Divyenndu’s portrayal of Munna Bhaiya was widely acclaimed by both viewers and critics.
Divyenndu further shared that playing Munna Tripathi was taking a toll on his life.
“When I was in character, it was affecting my personality a lot. We shouldn’t over-romanticise going too deep into a character, because it is not easy. At times, it used to get really dark for me. I felt suffocated. It’s so tricky that you don’t even realise that you are in that zone. It’s only when you come out of it do you realise how dark it was”, he said.
Season 3 is to be released soon this year as confirmed by Prime Videos when they released teasers of various series and movies coming this year.
